The name of our organization under which our academy is registered is the British Kenpo Karate Association (B.K.K.A.).

 

Our Purpose & Goals

 

The purpose and goals of the British Kenpo Karate Association Academy's are:

 

  • To promote, teach and develop Ed Parker's American Kenpo, throughout the UK.

  • To give technical and administrative support to it's academy instructors.

  • To continue to evolve American Kenpo, an unparalleled quality Martial Art.

  • To promote the "FAMILY" of Kenpo and to be an organization of INTEGRITY and HONOUR.

 

Benefits of Being a Member of British Kenpo Karate Association

 

For a student to be a member, there is a payment of £10.00 upon joining their British Kenpo Karate Association  academy. This payment is included in your joining membership fee that your British Kenpo Karate Association instructor takes as the initial 1st year membership and this includes the following materials and benefits.

 

Materials for Members

 

  • British Kenpo Karate Association licence book.

  • B.K.K.A. shoulder flash.

 

Benefits of Membership

 

  • Invitation to B.K.K.A. events for which member discounts will be available to B.K.K.A. members.

  • Fully accredited testing for all British Kenpo Karate Association member students.

  • Opportunities for instructors to progress toward higher rank through well-defined prerequisites.

  • Quality instruction for all British Kenpo Karate Association instructors in American Kenpo Karate.

  • The right to wear British Kenpo Karate Association shoulder flash patches and badges.

  • To be a part of a forward thinking evolving organization dedicated to the study of American Kenpo.

Directors of the British Kenpo Karate Association

 

Ms Jaki McVicar from Torquay and Mr Matt Snell from Exeter, are

the joint directors of the British Kenpo Karate Association, details of their

training venues can be found below. The original founders of the BKKA

are Ms Jaki McVicar and Mr Merv Ormand.

Any requests for a new academy membership must be approved by

one of the directors or founder members. 

Approved Instructors

 

B.K.K.A. Approved Instructors are those of Apprentice Black Belt and above who have been B.K.K.A. Clubs/Academies for over 10 years, fully insured as instructors, CRB checked and First Aid certificated.
